What admin support looks like day to day
The best admin support is invisible. Meetings land on your calendar without the back-and-forth. Your inbox is sorted before you open it. Invoices go out, documents get formatted, and the follow-up you promised last Tuesday actually happens.
A Filipino admin assistant can own most of this within the first month. The work is well suited to remote support because nearly all of it happens inside tools you already use: Gmail or Outlook, Google Calendar, Drive, Slack and your CRM.
Two roles, depending on who needs the help
Executive assistants support one leader. They manage the inbox and calendar, prepare for meetings, draft replies in your voice, and protect your time. This role pays off when the founder’s hours are the bottleneck.
General virtual assistants support the business. They handle data entry, research, scheduling for the team, document prep and customer admin. This role pays off when many small tasks are spread across several people.
What to hand off first
Start with the tasks that are frequent, rule-based and easy to check: calendar scheduling, inbox triage with labels, meeting notes, invoice sending and CRM updates. Our What to Delegate First checklist lists the admin tasks owners most often hand over, marked by how easy each one is to delegate.

FAQ
Common questions
What's the difference between an executive assistant and a general VA?
An executive assistant works closely with one person: their inbox, calendar, priorities and communication. A general VA handles a wider mix of admin tasks for a team or business, usually with less decision-making on your behalf.
Can an admin VA work US business hours?
Tell us your time zone and the hours you need covered on the discovery call. Coverage is part of the role scorecard, and we scout for people who can work that schedule.
How do I give an assistant access to my email safely?
Use delegated access in Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 rather than sharing your password, and keep other logins in a shared password manager. Our guide to onboarding covers the setup in detail.
Tell us what's slowing your business down.
Book a 30-minute discovery call. Bring your task list and a budget range, and we'll show you what to delegate first.
