FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about hiring a Filipino virtual assistant through Snova PH. If yours isn't here, ask on a discovery call.
The basics
Getting started
Why hire a Filipino virtual assistant?
The Philippines has one of the largest English-speaking remote workforces, and years of experience serving US companies through BPOs. Snova adds one filter on top: we only place Filipino VAs who have already done the job you are hiring for.
How fast can a VA start?
Often within 48 hours when your match is already in our vetted pool. A custom search takes 1–3 weeks, including the paid trial task and your interviews.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the role, the hours, and whether we manage the VA for you. Share your monthly budget when you book, and on the call we will show you what it covers.
What is the difference between Managed and Placement?
With Managed, Snova supervises your VA, reviews the work and arranges cover when they are out. With Placement, we scout and vet the VA, and they report to you directly.
How do you protect our data?
Every VA signs an NDA and passes a background check before they see anything of yours. We also recommend separate logins and a shared password manager, so access can be removed in one step.
Can your VAs work with patient information?
Our healthcare VAs have worked US healthcare accounts before, through BPOs or as medical VAs, so they know how patient information should be handled. If your practice needs a Business Associate Agreement, raise it on the discovery call and we will go through it together.
Hiring
Finding the right person
What should I prepare for the discovery call?
A rough list of the tasks eating your week, the tools you use, the hours you need covered and a monthly budget range.
Do I interview candidates myself?
Yes. Interviewing the shortlist is the last of our eight checks, and the choice is always yours.
Do you train virtual assistants?
We do not train beginners. We scout people who have already done the job and test that experience. Your VA still learns your business and tools in the first weeks, guided by SOPs.
What if the first match is not right?
Tell us early. Most early problems come from unclear instructions, which we fix together. If it is the wrong fit, we go back to the shortlist or search again.
Can I hire for more than one role?
Yes. Most clients start with the role that frees up the most time, then add specialists once the first one is running smoothly.
Working together
Day to day
Which hours will my VA work?
The hours in your role scorecard. Night shifts that match US business hours are common in the Philippines, and some roles work better during Philippine daytime, when your work is done before you wake up.
How do we communicate day to day?
In the tools your team already uses, like Slack, Microsoft Teams or email, with response times and a daily check-in agreed in week one.
What about Philippine holidays?
The Philippines has its own public holidays. Agree on a holiday calendar in week one, and with Managed, we arrange cover for days your VA is out.
Who owns the work my VA creates?
You do. Work is created in your accounts and workspaces, and SOPs and automations are documented in your own tools.
